Fillers are a gel which is injected under the skin to eliminate lines. The procedure is done under a nerve block, so that it is not painful. The Hylauronic Acid Gel is injected just under the skin to “Fill” the lines.
Areas that work very well are the Nasolabial lines (from the nose to the corner of the mouth), Marionette lines (from the corner of the mouth down) and Lips since these areas fill in a very natural way.
The fillers I normally use are RESTYLANE which are the most reliable fillers, and last approximately eighteen months. Slight swelling or bruising may occur post injection, so ice packs are applied to the area.
